The Snipe Class is the only non-Olympic class that offers all-women's championships. Over the past few years, the demand for all-women's events has been growing. During a time when participation in our sport is in decline, women's sailing is an opportunity to grow numbers in our Class. Who knows how to do this better than women? The new committee consists of women who are already involved with organizing events and women with a history of supporting all-women's regattas. Though only an un-official committee, the group hopes that leaders in the Class will consider their recommendations and the participation of women and the number of women's events will increase around the world.
