An affordable, athletic, and tactical boat sailed in 30 countries, the Snipe Class offers National, Continental, and World Championships for all-women's teams.
Women's events are competitive, but fun on and off the water. The average weight for women's teams is around 130 kg/285 lbs. An experienced Snipe crew (tripulante) is invaluable on the Snipe. Historically, the Snipe attracts women from the Radial, Europe Dinghy, 470, and keelboat classes.
The Women's Worlds Championship is held every other year. The last edition was in Sāo Paulo, Brazil and competitors are looking forward to the next event in Valencia Spain.
The Real Club Nautico Valencia will host the Championship and 40 boats are expected with sailors already comitted from Portugal, the USA, Brazil, Belgium, and Italy.
The large Snipe fleet in Valencia is most known for good racing and a great social scene.
The Women's World Championship is an open event. Teams do not need to qualify. All ages and level of expereince are welcome.
