An affordable, athletic, and tactical boat sailed in 30 countries, the Snipe Class offers National, Continental, and World Championships for all-women's teams.
Women's events are competitive, but fun on and off the water. The average weight for women's teams is around 130 kg/285 lbs. An experienced Snipe crew (tripulante) is invaluable on the Snipe. Historically, the Snipe attracts women from the Radial, Europe Dinghy, 470, and keelboat classes.
Moved to October of 2021. This is an open event held on Guarapiranga Lake outside of Saõ Paulo, Brazil. The lake is home to many famous Brazilian sailors from the Snipe, Laser, Finn, and Star Classes. The Yacht Club Paulista also hosted an 80 boat fleet for the 2019 Brazilian Nationals.
The large group of women from the lake look forward to hosting the event. Brazilian superstar skipper, Juliana Duque, is looking to repeat the Women's World Champion title that she won in Bracciano, Italy in 2016.
